Undaunted Daffodils - Executive Auditorium
Get your bulb trowels and planters ready. Daffodil grower Brent Heath will show how to have these diverse pest-free incredible blooms from early spring to early summer.

Workshop - Growing Shiitake Mushrooms - Room 103
Bill Worrell, a VA District Extension Agent in Natural Resources, will explain and show how to inoculate logs to grow shiitake mushrooms. Each participant will get to take home one mushroom log. Fee $5.00. Limited to 30 attendees.

Managing Diseases in the Landscape without Pesticides - Executive Auditorium
UT's Dr. Mark Windham explains how "going green" in the garden does not mean being overwhelmed by diseases.

LED Landscape Lights: Everything You'll Want to Know - Room 240
Thinking of adding lighting to your landscaping? Jacklyn Heywood-Stanton, of Lytestyles in Knoxville, will explain and show the important differences between the LED light source and the conventional 12 volt incandescent light source.

The Tropical Paradise Garden - Executive Auditorium
Plan and plant something different this summer! Learn how to integrate summer bulbs with annuals, perennials, ground covers, trees, and shrubs to create your own relaxing tropical garden getaway. Brent Heath, from Brent and Becky's Bulbs, is the presenter.

Heirloom Seed Saving - Room 103
Peter Waskiewicz, co-founder of Asheville's Sow True Seed, explains the what, why, and how of saving heirloom seeds.


3:30-4:45  

Gardens of the Riviera - Executive Auditorium
Robert McDuffie shares last spring's journey showcasing exotic and colorful gardens from Barcelona to Nice, Monaco, and the five villages of Cinqua Terre. 

Workshop - Living Flower Arrangements with Layers of Bulbs - Room 240
Join bulb grower Brent Heath as he explains which bulb cultivars are best suited to pot culture. Then it is "hands-on" workshop time where participants plant the bulbs for a "Living Flower Arrangement" to take home and enjoy. Fee $30- includes pot, soil, and bulbs. Limited to 30 attendees.
