This workshop will focus on the hot water bath method. We will discuss how to choose produce for canning, the materials needed, and the risks associated with preserving the harvest. Deni Peterson of Appalachian Sustainable Development directs the Learning Landscapes program that helps schools establish wildlife habitat and ecosystem study areas in outdoor classrooms. Deni has over 20 years experience in organic gardening.
